WISH MIRAGE

Directed by Gerald vanHeerden at Sunlight Studios

ABOUT THE PLAY

Many human lives are sustained by lies.  Some are visible.  Some are unseen. And some, though in view, remain willfully unrecognized. In this play this is called a wish mirage. 5-year-old, Luci Ralston’s search for her missing father leads to her discovery of his past participation in a concealed crime and his link to a tragic suicide. Luci’s hunt for her dad also draws her back to her mother whom she has not seen for many years. Rejoined, they pursue together the missing man. The quest proves fateful and at its end, Luci is able to recognize, finally, the seduction of a wish mirage.
